DOR Project Cars 2 - Season 1
As we all know Forza has been very much hit and miss recenlty and there are more and more racers either looking for an alternative to scratch the itch until it has been fixed or jumping ship completely. Most people are seriously looking at Project Cars 2 which has been over looked by may over the years. With the main DOR racing having a break for various reasons we thought we would put some effort into this Project Cars to see what it can do and what interest/appetite there is out their for this game. We have ran Project Cars 2 leagues on DOR before however I believe it was hard to sustain due to the dwelling number or racers.
Welcome to Project Cars 2 and season 1 of racing. In this 4 week series we are going to racing in the Formula C cars, these cars are open wheel single seaters and don't worry they aren't crazy powerful with a top speed of just under 200mph however they are loads of fun to drive and ease everyone into this different type of sim game. We will be racing all around the world and visiting tracks some people may not have even heard of and rarely raced if raced on them if at all in a game.
To add to the variety of the racing and to use the tools we have as well as not making it a carbon copy of how we race on Forza but on another game racing will be slightly different on Project Cars 2. The lobby will open at 8pm (due in this series we change our times in the UK be mindful of this) there will be a 15 min practice session to ensure that the car is how you would like it and then followed by qualifying TBC FORMAT. The practice session at the start allows us to open the lobby and racers join when they are ready and if you want to use this time you can but your are not forced to do this however we will NOT wait for any who hasn't joined practice before 8:15pm.
We will also be using a variety of weather through out the series to keep you on your toes, so you may be racing around Cadwel Park and have all the seasons in one race, it is in the UK after all. Weather forecasts will be live the day of the race however keep an eye on the prediction although it might be showing just cloudy there could be a high change of ran.
The races themselves will be longer, if we run multiple lobbies there will be just one race per night but the race will be a little bit longer which will hopefully provide the opportunity for different pit strategies etc.
