I'm still going to test out RallyX ideas when Route Creator comes next Thursday-Friday but rally & rally raid are top of the list for planning. There's plenty of cars suitable for RX in FH4.
I can't believe that Delta gets this much interest in a horizon game and let's be clear it is a car game! Yet as an online racing forum PC2 and Assetto are in the main ignored.
If the ambition is anything more than a Forza site, I am afraid this will not encourage folk looking for quality on line racing and hence pc2 and Assetto will never grow on this forum.
A really effort from the members to support the admin in running proper simulation races is needed. We can't stack up against the other clubs we need members signing up for locked in car full damage brake line off races.
This is not a dig I love this forum but it can't grow as Delta online racing without the above.
Or change it and become the biggest and best Forza forum. Just frustrated lads that I have to look elsewhere for the racing I enjoy and wanted to give one last push to get other options growing.
I think as said before our best hope is to attract new asetto focused drivers to the forum. There are a few teams that have flicked over in the comunity. It would be nice to attract them.
But it will take a monumental push on Twitter. Currently to get the forza group where it is we have sent out more than 3k tweets.
The delta Twitter is strong in that cominity but the reach for others is not there yet.
It needs to be grabbed by the neck, and pushed on social media, with media showing what’s happening.

I think for me the tuning aspect scares me a bit on pcars2 and feel it puts me at a disadvantage racing there....on the whole I love the game for its realism and when paint becomes an option I will be putting more time into it. Friday's have been difficult for me in past few months but I'm gonna be getting my pcars2 out and dusting off the cobwebs lol
My interest in FH4 is based on getting some of the Forza guys interested in rally since a lot of guys may be hesitant to try a proper rally game & FH4 provides a good cross over between Forza racing & rallying.
On the PC2 front, I'm in the same boat as Stug, Fridays aren't great for me either but I like the game, I actually prefer it over Forza. PC2 has some great features Forza doesn't such as the time roll (day to night) which adds a great bit of immersion & as you can probably tell from some of my PC2 videos, I have become addicted to the helmet cam. Delta is mainly a Forza forum, so the other games like PC2 & DiRT are outside some guys' comfort zone in terms of racing which definitely does affect the popularity of events on other games for example Forza is more of an arcade style whereas PC2 is a sim likewise with DiRT Rally & DiRT 4.
I have an idea for PC2 events, maybe reach out to forums that run PC2 championships & maybe discuss running support series for their main series, might not be much but will attract attention.

I was in a Forza series when Horizon 3 came out & for the last round of that, the series moved over to FH3 for a street circuit around Surfer's Paradise. It was a lot of fun, anyway my point, FH4 opens up potential road racing options for Delta along with dirt racing & rallying options too, the seasons make so much difference in races in FH4 too, go slightly off line in a snow race & you get bogged down in the heavy snow. Seeing has FH4 is in Scotland mainly, what about a possible street race around Edinburgh? They released the FM6 GT cars on FH3, surely they'll do the same with FH4?
But in the end of the day, no series would take off in any game without promotion on social media (99% of my tweets are to do with Delta rally), for any FH4 series to take off it will require the same, likewise with PC2 & Assetto. "Behind every successful series, there's a shit load of tweets" - probably someone at some point.
DOR Covert, I'm actually looking more into creating road races to start with, but I've also already figured out a 15 minute-ish 'rally' lap covering mostly the south-east of the map. but I'm planning on making some smaller tracks first to get the hang of the tool. I'm super-hyped for the Route Creator, I think 30% of my time in Britain has been figuring out routes for racetracks

Personally loving fh4. It's a great looking game and it's a refreshing break away from fm7. On the motorsport side I might take part in the odd event but I've improved as much as I can, i struggle to concentrate and poor performances race after race take the fun out of it.
Interested in fh4 future events for a relaxed laugh, nothing serious.
Yeah I've been quite busy already, this one stands out so far. It's called Summit and you can find some blueprints for it at the Greendale Club Circuit start-line.

I created a few stages so far, 1 however needs a little tweaking & 1 is decent enough for testing etc. If you go to the Ambleside Sprint start, you should my testing stage, I think I called it Ambleside or Ambleside Rally. Would love feedback on it if anyone has tried it. I have another one called SSS Festival, it starts at the festival but I can't remember which start line.
