DNR- Delta News Report
Breaking news ..... how will drivers react ?
Issue 1 - One's to watch
As we prepare for the season opener and the first Event for Delta Online Racing. Tonight’s testing should provide some insight into the competition ahead.
We know the car, but with identical equipment this Cup focuses on driving skill, racing line, consistency and overtaking . So with that in mind lets have a look at the drivers.
So far we have had a mix of new and old drivers. A few of us competed together last year, we have a slight knowledge of what to expect from each other, but will there be any surprises.
So first up we have Craig, fez, grove and fatcat. All proven to be quick and competitive. Craig will be to looking to shake of the race rust and get the #14 car on the front of the grid and lead from the start. So far he’s happy with the car “it is incredibly easy to drive. Nice tune, well balanced”.
With a set tune, Tuning guru Grove in the #78 car will be looking to prove that his in car ability is just as formidable as his in garage tweaking.
Last time i saw the fez in a Renault it was a bright green 5 turbo, He loves a good paint job. Due to the reverse grid I spent 5 laps try to stop him passing at brands hatch, his ability to apply pressure and overtake is sure to be a factor that will see the #70 car in contention. Fat cat is smooth and decisive operator. During a recent interview, following his hiatus he stated that
he is “Looking forward to some great racing”.
Stu77 in the #77 car is an unknown entity, that is sure to attract some outside betting interest . we know he has thee experience of competing in a number of Forza and pc leagues. An due to a last minute withdraw from tonight’s testing, we wont know the answer until 1st race qualifying.
Bek #778 and lucent #177. Seasoned racers from the cloud 9 racing crew. Infamous on the streets of Los Santos. But does that speed covert to forza ?
Shadow #83 madbull ben466 # and Rd inferno #48 all come with experience from cosy. some unofficial lap times around road Atlanta indicate no shortage of pace. It will all become clearer in tonight’s testing session.
Yello cactus #1 and steve #51. Both came from rookies at the back of the grid in etcc to more experienced rookies at the back of the grid at etcc . But have things changed ? Has cactus spent the last six months practising on a remote island ? Is he now a quicker entity ? Has he got over his qualifying jinx ? Steve has shown glimmers of pace in qualifying (well the equivalent of a fire fly farting in a football stadium) , that have often resulted in a crash on the warm up lap ? His lack of consistency is more than disturbing . Will things come together for them in the Clio cup ? Not likely .
Rookie drivers such as biased tuna and badthor. Come for there first experience of forza racing. It may be a frustrating first season, while learning: you pray for more speed and consistency. But it will come with practice. So relax, Just enjoy guys concentrate on racing clean. A Good Battle on track is a good battle. regardless of the position.
So in sumary its all to dribe for and all we know is when clock moo’s eight its time to race.
Look out for the post testing report. we take a look at the livery’s catching the eye. And get exclusive driver reactions to the circuit release info.
Bek ready for action
