I noticed someone mentioning Discord in the feed thing at the bottom of the forum & thought how Discord & Teamspeak could be used for Delta events. I don't use Teamspeak much so I'm going to use Discord for examples, within a Discord server you can have voice channels as well as text only channels which could be handy for setting up a session of Forza 7. The Arma group I'm in uses Discord quite a lot during Ops one of the things we do before the start of an Op is a rollcall, similar to Delta where there's a list of drivers involved, the Zeus Commander (basically the session host) will go through the list of names to see who's there & who isn't. This could be used in Delta for anyone having to drop out at the last moment.
The voice channels could be used during the race to issue warnings or call for the safety car (both race director stuff) or for drivers to warn other drivers if they went off in a bad spot or warn of a major crash & so on. Due to my Arma group being composed of 20 or so players we are lucky that our Discord server is easy to manage during Ops, for example there's usually 4 voice channels, 1 for infantry, 1 for infantry support (helicopters & troop transport), 1 for armour (tanks etc) & 1 for CAS (Close Air Support). Delta could have 1 voice channel for an active race, 1 for Race Officials only & possibly 1 for the guys that aren't currently racing to have some banter while they wait.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with the way Delta races are being run right now, it might just be worth giving Discord\Teamspeak a trial run in the Delta racing environment maybe try it on a casual lobby first then an once off competitive event & then finally a test in the competitive Delta environment. It might help Delta avoid the problems that Xbox Live chat can bring up in the most unfortunate times.
