I don't use my wheel for any car over 250hp in DiRT 4, I just haven't mastered rallying with the wheel yet but I'm getting there. Personally I find on DiRT 4 there's no real universal wheel set up since each car acts differently & each surface type makes the cars act differently to the other surfaces, I would say to set the wheel up right will require some testing & tweaking until it feels right. I actually have my clutch set up as my handbrake too. I don't know if you have a shifter for your wheel, guys on a different forum I'm in actually use elastic bands on their shifters so it would behave like a sequential gear lever in a rally car.
For round 6, the championship will be set to simulation handling just to see how it affects the competition. If successful all remaining rounds would be set to simulation too.
With Cosworth just 1 win away from becoming the first Delta Rally Champion, I can reflect on the DRC as a series from that first stage in Michigan to the stages of this week's round in Australia.
The inspiration behind running rally championships for Delta actually came from me representing Delta in the WRC eSports, the idea came after I saw a lot of names on the WRC eSports leaderboard with familiar tags, those being TX3 & GTR. I thought what if I could get a Delta rally team going to have some competition with TX3 & GTR like there already was in Forza, ultimately then I decided to run a rally championship instead of starting up a team.
So after thinking about it for a week or two, I messaged Cactus & Steve to ask aboout taking Delta down the rally route, by this stage Delta Online Racing was over a year old, Fuzzy was in the middle of the successful Delta GTE Championship & guys were racing in Assetto Corsa so why not about the motorsport that has brought us so many iconic cars & names such as the Ford Escorts, Group B, Colin McRae, Richard Burns, Imprezas, Evos & so much more.
For the championship itself, first round was a bit dodgy, first time holding a championship of any form by myself (I co-hosted\helped on small Forza & Project Cars championships in the past) so there was a few hiccups but by round 2 everything was falling into place. I think the multi-class system I used worked out great, not everyone picked the same car or class, we saw WRC, R5, R2 & Historic cars all used & the competition was nicely mixed, we had (and still have) a Ford Escort MkII sitting on top of the championship standings ahead of WRC & R5 spec machines.
Yes I am slightly disappointed that it ended up as a 1v1 between me & Cosworth and that only 2 of the 5 that started the championship still remain but in terms of the running of the DRC I'm proud of how it turned out minus the problem with Racenet last week which meant round 6 had to be dropped. The late nights early on & the early mornings on Sundays to manually update the standings have been worth it to see that the season will have a successful end & may possibly have a long future ahead of it with Season 2 being planned & due to be confirmed sometime next week. There is also many smaller championships for DiRT Rally in the works with one starting in the next week or so.
With Delta Rally Championship Season 2 possibly bringing in competition from Inside Line Racing (a forum mainly racing F1, GT Sport & now DiRT 4) & Apex Online Racing (who run many championships: F1, PC2, GT Sport, DiRT 4 etc) hopefully this will open doors for Delta on other platforms & games.

A single stage rally using the best machines to grace the World Rally Championship since the new millennium. Take on the iconic Welsh Forests & the world famous Sweet Lamb stage in some of the most iconic rally cars of the modern era. From the 2001 championship winning Subaru Impreza of Richard Burns to the all conquering Citroen C4 of 9 time WRC Champion & rally legend, "Le Patron" Sebastien Loeb.
Or will you tame the young guns of the 2010 era, from the all powerful Ford Fiesta RS WRC of Petter Solberg & Jari Matti Latvala to the 4-in-a-row WRC Championship winning Volkwagen Polo R WRC of Sebastien Ogier.
Rally open from 10am BST Friday June 29th to 10am BST Sunday July 8th (I will be checking the times at 10am that Sunday, any times posted after that will not be counted)
DiRT 4 is great game for players new to DiRT whereas DiRT Rally is more for rally sim fans. DiRT Rally is a lot more satisfying when you get the hang of it, sliding cars around with ease. DiRT 4 has a few issues with the vehicle physics, one being how a small roadside shrub can terminally damage a car somehow.
That being said I'll still be running events on DiRT 4 even as the DRC moves to DiRT Rally (due to potential future championship with outside Delta involvement).
There is a 6 round championship now active for Delta Online club on DiRT 4, it is set up like the DRC because it was meant to be Season 2 before it was moved over DiRT Rally. This would be a perfect chance for new DiRT players to get involved with online championship against friendly competition, however there may be guys from Inside Line Racing using it as a test series for ILRWRC Season 2.

Signed up, Ford Fiesta RS WRC simply to set some records. Would love to ride with the escort but the international won me over. Still gotta fix my wheel l...
As members of the club, you also have access to DiRT Rally events. Starting on Sunday is a week long event, The Race Of Champions is a friendly competition 4 stage rally using all the cars in DiRT Rally that have won at least one World Rally Championship.
1. DiRT Rally & DiRT 4 are currently on sale just in time for upcoming DiRT events on here.
2. Race Of Champions & the 6 round championship on DiRT 4 are still open for competitors
3. I have been asked by Inside Line Racing to mention that there's still time to sign up for their second season of ILRWRC on DiRT 4, all that is needed is to contact them on Twitter before season start in Monday. ILR also run PC2 & F1 championships for anyone interested & I have name dropped the Delta Formula Renault championship a good few times on their forum
On dirt4 is there no way to use a different car or am I locked in for the duration as I retired from Sweden assuming I could change car but now has me down as a DNF and so haven't run at all. Where do I find ROC series too
You should be able to change car before each rally. You can't change car mid rally (out of my control, it's how the game is) & the ROC ended on Sunday(1 week event) & it was on DiRT Rally, however there'll be a multi week version of the ROC coming to DiRT 4 in the near future.
Sorry for the delay in this reply & for my absence recently, good weather means busy times on a farm. I'll be back to normal routine tomorrow.
hi mate have done some shifting around of the thread to try and simplify things. Its a tad difficult to see what is current and what is past. can i make a suggestion that for the upcoming rally champinship we keep it
if you want anything in a certain place just let me know. we will also try and formulate some, results boards for you with access to display the points, and a google sign in form to allow you to know who is entering the competition. Let me know if you want anything specfic on this.
Looking good though and interest is starting to build, i just feel as we are building we need to keep it simple and easy to navigate and access, especially as there is people coming across who have not played the game prior (eg me lol)
